Harrell Named Riddell Defensive Player Of The Week

The Tampa Bay Storm is pleased to announce that defensive back James Harrell has earned the Riddell Defensive Player of the Week award for his week ten performance in the Storm’s 35-34 victory over the New Orleans VooDoo.
Riddell Defensive Player of the Week: Harrell (5-feet 10, 195 lbs., Arkansas-Pine Bluff) continued his rise in the defensive ranks this past week in the Storm’s 35-34 victory over the New Orleans VooDoo. The Plant H.S. (Tampa, FL) product sealed the Storm’s victory with a key interception with 46 seconds left in regulation. He finished the night with three tackles, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup. The Defensive Player of the Year candidate leads the team with 10 takeaways this season (6 interceptions/4 fumble recoveries), the second-highest total in the Arena Football League.
This is Harrell’s second Riddell Defensive Player of the Week award, and fourth weekly award this season.
