South Florida graduate wide receiver Mudia Reuben has been named to the watch list for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, the premier major college football award emphasizing community service.
Reuben was previously named to the Allstate Good Works team watch list in recognition of his outstanding community service, which includes the development and funding of a project to build water wells for Nigerian communities in need of access to water. Reuben, a first generation American whose family is from Nigeria, has built six such wells to date, often reducing a daily journey to source water from as much as a four-mile trip to just steps.
Reuben graduated from Stanford in three years with a degree in life and health science and is pursuing a master’s degree in pharmaceutical nanotechnology – biomedical engineering.
He is one of two returning offensive starters for the Bulls. He finished third on the team with 495 receiving yards and fourth with 26 receptions in 2025, while collecting five touchdown catches. Reuben surged in the last three games of the regular season, collecting 14 receptions for 325 yards and four touchdowns over the span, including a season-best five receptions for 174 yards and touchdowns of 60 and 59 yards in a win at UAB.
South Florida opened practice for the 2026 season on Aug. 5. Under first-year head coach Brian Hartline, the Bulls return four starters from a team that went 9-4 last season and welcome 62 new players. South Florida opens its 30th season of football, and its last in Raymond James Stadium before moving to a new on-campus stadium, on Saturday, Sept. 5 vs. FIU in a 7 p.m. kickoff.
