- Updated: January 5, 2019
Tampa Bay Lightning Coach Jon Cooper will head to San Jose at the end of the month to serve as one of the head coaches for the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend.
The NHL announced the four All-Star coaches on Saturday. This is the second year in a row Cooper has been named the Atlantic Division coach for the All-Star Game.
Paul Maurice of the Winnipeg Jets, Todd Reirden of the Washington Capitals and Bill Peters of the Calgary Flames will serve as the other three head coaches.
Two Bolts players will also be representing Tampa Bay at the All-Star Game. Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov were both named to the roster earlier this week.
All-Star Weekend takes place Jan. 25 and 26 in San Jose, California.
